What is an age gate?

An age gate is a screen that appears before a visitor can enter your site, asking them to confirm they are old enough to be there.

Bars, liquor stores, dispensaries, and tobacco retailers are the usual cases, and the requirement comes from what you are licensed to sell rather than from us.

Whether you need one is a question about that license rather than about your budget, which is why it stays optional on any plan instead of being folded into the price of one.
