Every word here shows up somewhere in a quote or a contract, usually without being explained. Each one gets its own page and a straight answer.
- 24-Month Handoff
- The 24-month handoff is the point where the code buyout fee is waived: after 24 paid months on a managed plan, the code becomes yours. A month you didn't pay doesn't count toward the 24, and it doesn't reset the count. The count pauses and picks back up when the plan does.
- Admin Panel
- An admin panel is a control panel built into your site that lets you update content without touching code: edit a menu, change photos, add a promotion.
- Age gate
- An age gate is a screen that appears before a visitor can enter your site, asking them to confirm they are old enough to be there.
- Buyout
- A buyout is a one-time payment to take the code out of our hosting and own it outright.
- Code Framework
- A code framework is the underlying technical system your site is built on.
- Content management system (CMS)
- A content management system, or CMS, is a control panel that lets non-technical owners update text, photos, and pages without touching code.
- Core Web Vitals
- Core Web Vitals are the three measurements Google uses to score how a page actually behaves for the person loading it.
- Domain
- A domain is your web address, the part people type in to reach you.
- Email/SMS Capture
- Email/SMS capture is a form or sign-up mechanism on your site that collects customer contact information you own.
- Google Business Profile
- A Google Business Profile is your listing on Google Maps and Search: the card showing your hours, photos, directions, and reviews when someone looks you up.
- Hosting
- Hosting is the server space your site lives on so the internet can find it.
- Local SEO
- Local SEO is the work that makes you findable when someone nearby searches for what you do.
- Managed Website
- A managed website is a website where the vendor handles hosting, security, updates, and maintenance on your behalf.
- POS integration
- POS integration connects your website to your point of sale system so prices, hours, and inventory stay in sync between the register and the site.
- Privacy Policy + Terms of Service
- A privacy policy and terms of service are legal pages required for any website that collects visitor data.
- Responsive design
- Responsive design means the site adjusts automatically to any screen size, whether that's a phone, a tablet, or a desktop.
- Schema markup
- Schema markup is code embedded in your site that tells Google what your business is: address, hours, phone number, service area, and category.
- SSL certificate
- An SSL certificate encrypts the data moving between your site and the people visiting it.
