What is schema markup?

Schema markup is code embedded in your site that tells Google what your business is: address, hours, phone number, service area, and category.

It helps you show up in map results and "near me" searches. 76% of people who search on their smartphones for something nearby visit a business within a day (Think with Google, 2016).
